Effective July 25, 2026
These terms govern your use of the Murmr app. By using Murmr, you agree to them.
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Murmr on devices you own or control, for your own personal or internal use, subject to these terms and the App Store Terms of Service.
You own your recordings, transcripts, and notes. We claim no rights over them and never access them. You are responsible for what you record — including obtaining any consent required by law before recording other people.
All of your data is stored on your device. Murmr has no server and never receives your recordings or notes. Keeping your data safe — through your device's iCloud Backup, the in-app backup export, or optional iCloud Sync — is your responsibility, and any such storage uses your own Apple iCloud account, not ours.
Murmr offers an export so you can back up your notes and audio, and an optional iCloud Sync (through your private iCloud) to keep devices in step. We don't host or have access to these backups; we can't recover data on your behalf. We're not responsible for data loss, including loss caused by device failure, deletion, or iCloud issues — please keep your own backups.
Murmr is free to try: you can make up to 5 recordings or 15 minutes of total recording, whichever comes first, and keep transcription, automatic titles and tags, organisation, and search. Murmr Pro removes that limit and unlocks AI summaries and action items, AI answers across your notes, iCloud Sync, backup export and restore, deleting recordings, and export to Markdown, text, and PDF. Subscriptions are billed to your Apple ID and renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel anytime in your App Store account settings. Prices may vary by region and are shown before purchase.
Transcription and AI summaries are produced by on-device models and may contain errors. They are provided to assist you, not as a substitute for your own judgement. Please review outputs before relying on them.
Use Murmr lawfully. Do not use it to record people without the consent required in your jurisdiction, or for any unlawful purpose.
Murmr is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the app.
We may update these terms; the date above reflects the latest version. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
Unless a custom agreement applies, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to your use of this app.
